Greystokes Cycle Cafe & LucyCooks
Gill Harris will be at Greystokes Cycle Cafe (www.greystokecyclecafe.co.uk), just outside of Penrith, to share her secrets in bread making as a special event in September. Anna Rowley will be at the same lovely place to share her impressive skills in dessert making in October. Other events at this venue will take place. Another popular venue for courses and events is LucyCooks, which is near Kendal. Yew Tree Farm
How about stopping off at Yew Tree Farm for a refreshment? Local produce is used in order to make home made goodies, so that hot and cold drinks and lunches are offered. Farmers Market at Orton
The Farmers Market at Orton attracts over 35 food, drink and craft producers within a 50 mile radius, including many from the immediate area. Refreshments are served in the market hall, music is played and cookery demonstrations are often given.
